Noelle Wyman Roth is a mixed-methods evaluator who currently serves as the Assistant Director of Duke University's Applied Research, Evaluation, and Engagement group. She specializes in supporting the integration of qualitative data collection and analysis using NVivo throughout program evaluation and applied research.
Noelle is driven by the belief that data can be a powerful tool to inform programs, practice and policy, and that qualitative data provide a critical lens on the "how" and "why." She has diverse subject matter experience and has conducted NVivo training and consultations with partners from a variety of sectors (e.g., institutions of higher education, non-profits, government, and research corporations). As a user and trainer, she is experienced with a wide variety of NVivo applications, ranging from structuring a project, developing coding structures, analyzing multiple data types, using queries, and working collaboratively.
Noelle earned a BA from Boston College in 2009, a master’s degree from Duke University in 2012, and is pursuing a doctorate in Educational Research Methodology at UNC-Greensboro. She has been helping others learn to use NVivo for over a decade. Outside of work, Noelle loves to hike, travel, read and do yoga; she is proud to call Durham, North Carolina home.
