Applying Mixed Methods in the Real-World

Mixed methods research can unlock deeper insights, but designing and integrating multiple forms of data requires careful planning and the right tools. In this session, Noëlle Wyman Roth will demonstrate how NVivo can support mixed methods research in applied, real-world settings, drawing from her experience as an evaluator and applied researcher.

Through examples of sequential, embedded, and parallel designs, you'll learn how NVivo can be used to develop survey items from qualitative focus groups, explore relationships between closed- and open-ended survey responses on food insecurity, and contextualize conflicting survey and qualitative findings in educator development work.
