Webinar

On-demand

With rising teacher attrition, inconsistent classroom support, and growing demands on new educators, the need for effective, sustainable mentor teacher programs has never been more urgent. Mentorsโ€”the most impactful factor in a teacher candidateโ€™s professional developmentโ€”often report being unprepared for their roles.

Join us in this webinar to learn strategies for designing and managing a mentor teacher program to support your teacher candidates and hear directly from colleagues who are currently facilitating successful programs.

In this webinar, youโ€™ll learn:

  • Outcomes of a multi-year research project focused on identifying what makes a mentor teacher program successful.

  • How to engage school-based teacher educators to collaborate in the design, implementation, and facilitation of a mentoring program.

  • Insights from school- and university-based teacher educators who are actively managing or contributing to successful mentor teacher programs.

Plus, hear from Experiential Learning Cloud customer, Dr. Kamina Fitzgerald, Director of University School Partnerships and Clinical Practice in School of Education at The University of North Carolina at Pembroke (UNCP), who will provide an overview of UNCP's field experience program and discuss past and future mentor teacher programs.
